(ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioners argues that the elections of the respondent No.7-Society which are already due, are not being held despite expiry of a period of six months which is not permissible as per the provisions of the Punjab Cooperative Society Act, 1961. Learned counsel for the petitioners states that the petitioners have already given a representation to the Registrar, Cooperative Society Annexure P-6 dated 05.04.2021 for holding the election to the respondent No.7 Cooperative Society which is still pending consideration with the said respondent and the petitioner will be satisfied in case the respondent decides the representation Annexure P-6 dated 05.04.2021 by passing an appropriate speaking order in a time bound manner. Notice of motion.

Tinna, Addl.A.G., Punjab who has joined the proceedings through video conference, keeping in view the service of advance copy of petition accepts notice on behalf of respondent-State and raises no objection in deciding the representation dated 05.04.2021 (Annexure P-6) in a time bound manner by passing an appropriate speaking order. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case or the grievance being raised by the petitioner in the representation Annexure P-6 dated 05.04.2021, respondent No.3 is directed to decide the said representation Annexure P-6 dated 05.04.2021 filed by the petitioners by passing an appropriate speaking order within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a certified copy of this order. Present writ petition stands disposed of.
