**** RAJ MOHAN SINGH, J. (Oral) Petitioner seeks grant of anticipatory bail in case bearing FIR No.0040 dated 24.03.2021 registered under Section 420 IPC at Police Station Dugri, District Police Commissionerate, Ludhiana.

Notice of motion was issued on 23.04.2021. Thereafter vide order dated 26.05.2021 petitioner was directed to join investigation with interim directions.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that in view of the very nature of allegations and stand taken by the petitioner, the parties have entered into an amicable settlement. CRM-M-17355-2021 Punjab and another, has been filed for quashing of present FIR on the basis of compromise and the said petition is pending in the High Court.

The factual position of the case has been admitted by learned State counsel on instructions from ASI Manjit Singh. In view of the stand taken by learned counsel for the petitioner and admission made by learned State counsel, the order dated 26.05.2021 is made absolute. However, the petitioner shall keep on joining the investigation as and when required to do so and he shall abide by the conditions as envisaged under Section 438(2) Cr.P.C.

Petition stands disposed of.
