The petitioner seeks the concession of regular bail in a case registered on the basis of complaint of Mahender alleging that the petitioner gave him a fake currency note of Rs.100/- for purchasing the vegetables. 61 fake currency notes allegedly of Rs.100/- each were recovered from the petitioner. The petitioner on arrest disclosed the names of three other persons, who have also been arrested. The petitioner is alleged to be a member of a gang involved in the supply of counterfeit currency notes.

On asking of the court, on the instructions of SI Rajbir Singh, it has been informed that the petitioner is not involved in any other case of similar nature and that challan has already been presented. Taking into consideration the above circumstances, the petition is allowed. The petitioner is ordered to be released on bail on his furnishing bail bonds/ surety bonds to the satisfaction of the trial court as he has been in custody since 1.12.2015, subject to an additional condition that he will not commit the similar offence, of which he is accused of, during pendency of the trial.
