ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) The petitioners have again approached this Court seeking protection of their life.
Notice of motion.
Mr. Randeep S. Khaira, AAG, Punjab, Punjab accepts notice on behalf of the respondent - State.
Learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners, on an earlier occasion, have approached this Court by filing CRM-M No.41186 of 2015 seeking protection to their life and liberty. The said petition was disposed of vide order dated 04.12.2015 by issuing a direction to Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib to take appropriate action, in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the petitioners further submits that thereafter, the petitioners were living peacefully but now again the private respondents have started interfering in their matrimonial life. He further submits that the petitioners have submitted another representation (Annexure P2) to Mohd. Yakub 2017.07.25 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
CRM No.M-26636 of 2017 Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib, seeking necessary protection but no action has been taken so far in the matter. Heard.
Without examining the question of validity or otherwise of marriage of the petitioners, the present petition stands disposed of with a direction to the petitioners to appear before the Senior Superintendent of Police, Sri Muktsar Sahib on 01.08.2017 who shall look into grievance of the petitioners expressed in the representation (Annexure P2) and take appropriate action, if so, warranted in the circumstances, in accordance with law.
This order shall not be construed to be conferring the legitimacy or authenticity to the factum of marriage having been performed as well as the age, as the Court is already deprived of any means to determine the aforesaid facts.
Disposed of accordingly.
