Prayer in this petition, filed under Section 482, Cr.P.C., is for the issuance of direction to respondent Nos. 1 to 3 to protect lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondent No.3. The petitioners contend that they being major, have solemnized their marriage in accordance with law. They further submit that respondent No.3 is not accepting their marriage and is adamant to separate them from each other by resorting to illegal means. They further submit that in view of the imminent danger to their lives and liberty the petitioners had already moved a representation (Annexure P-4) before the Senior Superintendent of Police Gurdaspur.

Keeping in view the seriousness of the matter but without going into the validity of the marriage, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to the Senior SEEMA RANI 2015.08.12 16:36

Criminal Misc.No.M-26615 of 2015 [2] Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, to take action as warranted by law on the representation moved by the petitioners and in the meantime to issue necessary orders to ensure that no harm is caused to the lives and liberty of the petitioners at the hand of respondent No.3.
