Petitioner is a dismissed Patwari.

Allegations against him are that there are grave discrepancies found in certain entries of some Jamabandis which do not tally with Fard Sarkar. It is further believed that he has committed certain forgeries while being posted as Patwari at Halqa Qadian which were discovered at the time of handing over of charge to succeeding Patwari. Learned State counsel on instructions submits that custodial interrogation of the petitioner is required for completing chain of investigation to determine whether alleged discrepancies/forgeries were committed in connivance with beneficiaries or not. Keeping in view the nature and gravity of offence, no case for grant of anticipatory bail is made out.

Dismissed.
