(ORAL) The petitioner by way of the present writ petition seeks a writ of certiorari for quashing the admission at Sr. No. 149 contained in the final list of MBBS course 2021-2022 (Annexure P-16) issued by respondent No. 3. The petitioner further seeks a writ of mandamus commanding respondents No. 1 to 4 to admit him in the first year of MBBS course 2021-2022 being eligible on the basis of a certificate of disability dated 05.04.2022 (Annexure P-19) issued by respondent No. 4. Learned counsel for the petitioner, after arguing at length, submits that he may be permitted to approach the admission committee, who, as stated by learned senior standing counsel for respondent No. 3 - Union Territory, Chandigarh, is competent to take a decision in respect of the issue relating to admission.

Learned senior standing counsel for respondent No. 3 further states that in case the petitioner does approach the admission committee or the appellate authority, namely, Principal Secretary Home-cum-Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, as the case may be, they shall consider and decide the issue expeditiously in accordance with law. In view of the aforesaid submission made by learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the statement of learned senior standing counsel for respondent No. 3 - Union Territory, Chandigarh, which is taken on record, the writ petition stands disposed of.
