State of Punjab and others .............Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.Aminder Singh,Advocate for the petitioners Mr.Kirat Singh Sidhu,Deputy Advocate General for State of Punjab Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) Petitioners are stated to have performed their marriage on 22.7.2014(as per marriage Certificate P-2) being major in age against the wishes of parents of petitioner no.1.

Present petition has been filed seeking protection due to the alleged threat by the parents/family members of the girl, who have been impleaded as respondents 5 to 7.

Upon notice, learned State counsel on instructions from HC Gurjant Singh, PS City Muktsar states that as per statement recorded of the father of the girl-petitioner no.1, there is absolutely no threat meted out to the couple. It is further submitted that the family members of the girl have nothing to do with the married life of their daughter Maninder Kaur-petitioner no.1.

CRM-M 26702/2015 Learned State counsel further states that the petitioners have never approached the police authorities and as and when there is any threat, and they approach the police authorities action in accordance with law shall be taken.

In view of the above, no further orders are required to be passed in the present petition.

Dismissed as infructuous.
