Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 seeking anticipatory bail in FIR No. 27 dated 10.3.2013 under Section 22 of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985, registered at Police Station Cantt., Jalandhar.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that petitioner could not appear before the Trial Court on 10.11.2014 as he had noted down a wrong date. In fact, the date noted by the petitioner, was 10.12.2014. Moreover, no proceedings were to take place on 10.11.2014 before the Trial Court as on the said date the Presiding Officer was on leave. Petitioner had been regularly appearing before the Trial Court.

In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with a GURPREET SINGH 2015.01.28 14:59 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh
