This petition has been preferred under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing FIR No.244 dated September 12, 2009 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 420, 465, 467, 471 IPC, Police Station, City Sangrur alongwith subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, on the basis of compromise dated August 6, 2015 (Annexure P-2). In compliance of order dated October 30, 2015, report of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Sangrur, has been received to the effect that compromise between parties has been arrived at voluntary and without undue influence, pressure or coercion. Even otherwise, matter involved is personal in nature which has been amicable put at rest. 3.

In view of the above, this Court of the considered opinion that continuation of criminal proceedings between the parties would be an abuse of process of law and present compromise is for their benefit and will bring peace and harmony between them. 4.

Consequently, instant petition stands allowed and FIR No.244 dated September 12, 2009 (Annexure P-1) under Sections 420, 465, 467, 471 IPC, Police Station, City Sangrur alongwith subsequent proceedings arising therefrom, is quashed qua the petitioner.
