CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE INDERJIT SINGH
Present:
Mr.Jagmeet Singh Moudgil, Advocate for the petitioner.
**** INDERJIT SINGH, J.
Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. against State of Punjab and other respondents directing respondents No.1 and 2 to protect the life and liberty of the petitioner at the hands of respondent No.4 and further directing respondent No.3 not to act as per the wishes of respondent No.4 and not to involve the petitioner or any of his family members in a false case.
I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.
From the record, I find that a representation was given by the complainant to the SSP dated 02.06.2017 and subject is for taking action against Harnek Singh. The perusal of the representation shows that Harnek Singh respondent has threatened the petitioner to compromise the matter but Vineet Gulati 2017.07.28 10:23 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh applicant straight away refused to compromise the matter. It is stated that
CRM No.M-26772 of 2017 -2applicant is owner of the land. It is further stated in the representation that Harnek Singh along with tractor cultivated the land of the petitioner and after seeing the petitioner, he ran away.
The perusal of the representation nowhere shows any serious threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner. Furthermore, from the record, I find that though this representation is stated to be given by Harjiwan Singh but name of Harnek Singh has been mentioned instead of Harjiwan Singh, who sent the representation to the SSP.
In view of the above discussion, I do not find that there is any serious threat to the life and liberty of the petitioner. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
