State of Punjab and others .............Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr.Ashok Kumar Sama,Advocate for the petitioners Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is for seeking protection to life and liberty of both the petitioners, who are stated to be major and have performed inter caste marriage against the wishes of parents and brothers of petitioner no.1-wife. They apprehend threat to their life at the hands of said respondents 4 to 7. It is further stated that the couple is residing at Village Mohan Ke Hithar,Tehsil Guru Har Sahai,Distt.Ferozepur whereas respondents 4 to 7 are residents of Village Basal,Tehsil and District,Una Himachal Pradesh.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioners and keeping in view the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Lata Singh v. State of U.P. And another, JT 2006(6) SC 173, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to petitioners to present themselves before SSP, Ferozepur who shall take appropriate action, if so warranted in accordance with law. Petition stands disposed of.
