CRWP-3487-2020 This petition has been taken for hearing through Whatsapp video call due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Learned counsel for the petitioner states that at the time of filing the present petition, husband of the petitioner, namely, Pritam Singh (detenue), was illegally detained by respondents No.4 and 5. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner had approached various authorities including the Director General of Police, Punjab raising a complaint about illegal detention of Sh. Pritam Singh, as a result of which husband of the petitioner-Sh. Pritam Singh (detenue) has been released at 12.30 PM today and therefore, the present Habeas Corpus petition does not survive any more.

CRWP-3487-2020 (O&M) -2Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner will take the appropriate remedy with regard to various acts, which were forced upon her husband (detenue), by the police, in accordance with law. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submits that as the detenue is no longer in the custody of respondents No.4 and 5, present petition be disposed of, as having not pressed.
