On 22.02.2024 the following order was passed :- 'Mr. Chandeep Singh, Advocate puts in appearance on behalf of the respondent. The present appeal pertains to the year 1996. A request for an adjournment has been made by learned counsel for the appellant on the ground that arguing counsel has gone abroad. No ground is made out to further adjourn the matter, however, in the interest of justice, adjourned to 31.05.2024 subject to payment of Rs.5,000/- as costs to be deposited with the Punjab and Haryana High Court Legal Services Committee.'

The costs, as directed vide aforesaid order, have not been deposited. Today the case has been called and passed over twice, however, Ankur Goyal 2024.06.02 12:57 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

RSA-732-1996 (O&M) -2no one has appeared on behalf of the appellant. It appears that the appellant is not interested in pursuing the present appeal. 3.

In view thereof, this Court is left with no other option but to dismiss the present regular second appeal for non-prosecution. 4.

Dismissed for non-prosecution with liberty to revive in case anything survives in the matter. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
