The present appeal pertains to the year 1996. Vide the order passed by Hon'ble the Chief Justice, the matter has been listed in the motion list.

On 09.08.2022 counsel for the appellant had sought time to argue the matter. On 28.02.2023, yet again, a request was made for a short accommodation. On 02.03.2023 notice was issued to the appellant as the counsel pleaded no instructions. Thereafter, on 18.10.2023 an application was filed by the counsel for the appellant for impleading the legal representatives of the appellant - Ram Narain Yadav. The same was allowed and amended memo of parties was taken on record. On 04.12.2023 a request was made for an adjournment on behalf of arguing counsel for the appellant JITENDER KUMAR 2024.02.21 13:25 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this order/judgment Chandigarh

RSA No.753 of 1996 -22024:PHHC:023763 on the ground that he was in personal difficulty. It was clarified on the said date that no further adjournment shall be granted as the matter pertains to the year 1996. Today, again, a request for an adjournment has been made on behalf of arguing counsel for the appellant on the ground that he is out of station. There is no ground made out to further adjourn the matter. 3.

In view of the above, this Court is left with no other option but to dismiss the present appeal for non-prosecution. 4.

Dismissed for non-prosecution. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
