State of Punjab and others .............Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR.JUSTICE JASWANT SINGH Present:- Mr. Amit Babbar,Advocate for the petitioners Jaswant Singh,J.(Oral) Prayer in this petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C., is for seeking protection to life and liberty of both the petitioners, who are stated to be major and have married against the wishes of parents (respondents no.5 and 6) of petitioner no.1-wife. They apprehend threat to their life at the hands of said respondents. It is further stated that the petitioners and said respondents are residing at Village Jharoli,Tehsil and District Gurdaspur.

After hearing the learned counsel for the petitioner and keeping in view the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Lata Singh v. State of U.P. And another, JT 2006(6) SC 173, the present petition is disposed of with a direction to petitioners to make a detailed representation expressing their apprehension before SSP, Gurdaspur, who shall take appropriate action thereon, if so warranted in accordance with law.

Petition stands disposed of.
