LISA GILL, J. (Oral) The petitioner seeks a direction to respondents No. 1 to 4 for protection of her life and liberty at the hands of respondent No.5 and for conclusion of the investigation in FIR No. 13 dated 12.01.2017 under Sectiion 376 IPC registered at Police Station City Gurdaspur. As per Status report dated 18.09.2017 filed by way of affidavit of Azad Davinder Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, City Gurdaspur on behalf of respondents No. 1, 2 and 4 it is mentioned that the allegations levelled by the petitioner against respondent No.5 are not found to be correct. Recommendation for cancellation of the case was proposed. It is further mentioned that as per investigation report of the Superintendent Rupinder Kaur 2017.11.30 11:15 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

Crl. Misc. No. M-26958 of 2017 [ 2 ] of Police (Investigation), Pathankot, and opinion of the District Attorney (Legal), Amritsar, cancellation report has been prepared by the SHO, Police Station City, Gurdaspur on 09.09.2017 and is likely to be submitted. In view of the above, learned counsel for the petitioner submits that he does not press this petition at this stage while seeking liberty to the petitioner to file a protest petition/avail her remedies, in case cancellation is submitted.
