Petitioner seeks correction in his date of birth on the basis of certificate issued by Registrar, Births and Deaths, Punjab. Learned State counsel submits that prayer of the petitioner shall be considered by the competent authority and appropriate steps taken at the earliest, in any case, not later than six weeks. In view of statement made by learned State counsel, no further direction is necessary. Disposed of.
