Present petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of pre-arrest bail to the petitioner in case FIR No. 48 dated 29.6.2017, registered under Section 61/1/14 of the Excise Act, 1914 at Police Station Badali Alla Singh, District Fatehgarh Sahib. The allegation against the petitioner that 562 bottles of liquor were recovered from his vehicle. Learned counsel for the petitioner contended that petitioner has been falsely implicated in this case, whereas his name was disclosed by the co-accused and he was not apprehended at the spot. Moreso, such a recovery cannot be effected in the vehicle as alleged by the prosecution. All this matter requires through investigation and there is no ground to grant prearrest bail to the petitioner and thus, present petition stands dismissed. (Shekher Dhawan) Judge July 28, 2017 "DK"
