Prayer made in the present petition is for directing the respondents to grant interest on account of delayed release of arrears or revised pay scales to the petitioner w.e.f. 01.01.2006 to 31.07.2009, which have been paid after nearly 1011 years in the year, 2020. 2.

Reliance is placed on the decision of this Court dated 07.08.2024 in case of similarly situated employees in CWP-32357-2019 titled as Nishant Kumar and Another vs. State of Punjab and Others, Annexure P-5 as also the order dated 17.12.2024, vide which CWP-34135-2024 titled as Jaspreet Singh and Others vs. State of Punjab and Others, was disposed of in terms of Nishant Kumar (supra), Anneuxre P-11, in view of which learned counsel prays for disposal of this case, to which learned State counsel has no objection.
