The principal grievance propelling the petitioner to institute the instant writ petition is embodied in the Office Memo dated 17.02.2023, whereby, his request for extension of load has been declined by the distribution licensee on the ground that, he has not submitted NOC issued by the Municipal Corporation, Amritsar. Therefore, the petitioner, through making the representation dated 26.12.2024 (Annexure P-6), applied for grant of the requisite NOC to the Municipal Corporation, Amritsar, however, no decision has yet been made thereon. Consequently, through instituting the instant writ petition, the petitioner seeks issuance of directions upon the respondent No.2- Municipal Corporation, Amritsar, to make decision on his representation (supra). 2.

CWP-7219-2025 appearance on behalf of the respondents, under separate memorandums of appearance instituted before this Court today, waives service of notice on behalf of the respondents. He is directed to file validly executed Vakalatnamas in his favour by the respondents, within a week from today, before Registry of this Court.

The learned counsel representing the respondent No.2Municipal Corporation, Amritsar, submits that he does not have any objection, in case direction is passed upon the respondent No.2 to decide the petitioner's representation (supra) in a time bound manner. 5.

In view of the above, the instant writ petition is disposed of with a direction upon the respondent No.2- Municipal Corporation, Amritsar, to decide the petitioner's representation (supra) within six weeks from today.

Needless to say, the respondent No.2 shall take into consideration the factum of litigation pending before Hon'ble the Supreme Court.
