Jagtar Singh v. Gurmeet Singh And ORS
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-27133 of 2015 Date of Decision: 11.03.2019 Jagtar Singh
...Petitioner
Versus
Gurmeet Singh and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present:- Ms. Navneet Kaur, Advocate, for Mr. G.S. Nahel, Advocate, for the petitioner. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Proxy counsel prays for adjournment on the ground that learned arguing counsel for the petitioner is in personal difficulty. However, perusal of file shows that instant petition was filed in August, 2015 and thereafter has been taken on board for ten times. Except one or two dates, every time adjournment is being sought on behalf of learned counsel for the petitioner in the span of around more than three years and seven months. Proxy counsel is not able to tell the latest status of the trial. This Court hopes that trial must have been concluded by this time. Therefore, finding no justification to entertain the request for adjournment, this petition is dismissed for want of prosecution.
