Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.101 dated 17.04.2017 under Sections 379-B, 401 and 420 IPC, registered at Police Station Nakodar Sadar, District Jalandhar Rural.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that FIR in the present case has been registered on the statement of Kishore Yadav, who stated on 30.03.2017 at about 12 noon, he came out of the bank and on the allurement of two accused, he sat with them in their car, in which, other two accused were already sitting. After some time, they extended threat to him and snatched `46,500/- from him. Later on, he came to know name of the accused Vineet Gulati 2017.08.03 10:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh persons and one of the person named in the FIR is the present petitioner.

CRM No.M-27184 of 2017 -2Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, I find that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation. Otherwise also, in view of the nature and gravity of the offence, I do not find it a fit case where petitioner is entitled to benefit of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
