Mr. S.K. Tripathi, Advocate, for the petitioner. **** RITU BAHRI, J. (Oral) Learned counsel submits that in the present case the dispute between the petitioner and his wife. There is a daughter of 11 years of age from this wedlock. Petitioner is apprehending danger that he will be arrested by lodging false FIR by his wife. At this stage, he is seeking direction from respondent Nos.2 and 3 that he will not be harassed at the instance of respondent No.4 and 5 and also to protect his life and liberty from them. In this regard, he moved a representation dated 20.07.2016 (Annexure P-1) to respondent No.2 but no action has been taken thereon. In view of above, without commenting on the merits of the case, this petition is disposed of with a direction to the Commissioner of Police, Amritsar (respondent No.2), to conduct the investigation and in case the petitioner is required, he shall be given three days prior notice, in accordance with law.
