NIDHI GUPTA J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuing direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur to take action on complaint/representation dated 21.2.2024 (Annexure P-3) and to transfer the inquiry to an officer not below the rank of Superintendent of Police.
Learned counsel for the petitioners at this stage limits his prayer and submits that the petitioners would be satisfied if direction is issued to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, to consider and take a final decision on representation dated 21.2.2024 (Annexure P-3) made by the petitioner No.1 in a time bound manner.

After hearing learned counsel for the parties, without going into the merits of the present petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.2-Senior Superintendent of Police, Gurdaspur, to forthwith consider the grievance raised by the petitioners in the aforesaid representation and take action thereupon as he/she deems fit, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
