CRWP No.3599 of 2022
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CRWP No.3599 of 2022 Date of Decision: 21.04.2022 Lovish Kumar
...Petitioner
Versus
State of Punjab & others
...Respondent (s)
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ANOOP CHITKARA
Present:
Mr. Rishu Garg, Advocate and Mr. Rashmeet Singh, Advocate for the petitioners.
Mr. H.S. Sitta, AAG, Punjab.
**** ANOOP CHITKARA, J.
Seeking release of the alleged detenues, the petitioner has come up before this Court under Article 226 of the Constitution of India. Learned counsel for the State, on instructions, submits that statement of the alleged detenue no.1, who is stated to be wife of the petitioner, was recorded in the presence of Sarpanch of the village and the statement of said Sarpanch was also recorded, from which it transpired that she is staying there along with her parents at her own will. Given above, since the alleged detenue, who is an adult, has explicitly stated that she is comfortably living at the place of her own choice, this Court feels that nothing survives in this petition.
Consequently, the present writ petition is disposed of. All pending applications, if any, stand disposed. (ANOOP CHITKARA) JUDGE April 21, 2022 AK Whether speaking/reasoned:
