Present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is filed seeking quashing of FIR No.19 dated 04.03.2016 registered under Sections 498-A and 406 IPC at Police Station Barnala, District Barnala, Punjab. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that present petition has been rendered infructuous as the FIR in question has already been quashed on the basis of compromise by this Court vide order dated 05.05.2023 passed in CRM-M-4569-2023, and present petition may be disposed of as such.

On the last date of hearing, learned State Counsel had sought time to verify the aforesaid facts. Today, also learned State Counsel is seeking some time to verify the aforesaid facts. Learned counsel for the petitioner has produced order dated 05.05.2023 before this Court.
