Mr. Sudhir Rana, Advocate for the petitioners. **** AMIT RAWAL, J. (ORAL) Petitioners are seeking indulgence of this Court for directing the respondents to pay interest @ 18% p.a., on the amount of arrears of the revised pay scale, because same was given to petitioners with delay on the part of the respondents. In this regard, had submitted legal notice dated 02.12.2018 (Annexure P-4), but there is no adherence thereto. Without going into the merits and de-merits of the case, I dispose of the present writ petition with a direction to the respondents to consider legal notice dated 02.12.2018 (Annexure P-4) and take appropriate decision thereon, in accordance with law, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.

It is made clear that if decision is not taken within the time frame, there shall be costs of `25,000/- to be paid to the petitioners by the concerned Officer, who is responsible in not taking decision. However, in case, the claim of the petitioners is to be rejected, then a well reasoned and speaking order be passed and conveyed to the petitioners. ( AMIT RAWAL ) JUDGE 04.09.
