Due to COVID-19 situation, the Court is convened through video conference.

CRM No. 1164 of 2021 [1] This is an application for placing on record Annexures P3 to P8 annexed with the application.

[2] For the reasons stated in the application, same is allowed. [3] Documents are taken on record subject to all just exceptions.

CRWP-4013 of 2021 [4] The present petition is filed seeking directions to respondent No. 1 to 6 arrayed in petition to protect life and liberty of the petitioners from the hands of private respondents. Further prayer is to direct the Superintendent of Police, Jalandhar to decide the representation dated 15th April, 2021.

+ [6] Learned State counsel has filed status report dated 22nd September, 2021. It is stated therein that on the version of petitioners, a cross case has been registered vide DDR No. 50, dated 20th September, 2021. It is further pleaded that petitioners have been provided with mobile numbers of Station House Officer (SHO) and Moharrir Head Constable (MHC) and patrolling of the vicinity has been increased to ensure that there is not threat perception to the petitioners.

[7] In view of status report, no further directions are called for.

-3- [8] The petition is disposed of.

[9] Needless to say that petitioners would be at liberty to avail remedies in accordance with law for redressal of surviving grievance. [10] In case of any threat perception in future, the petitioners may approach the police authorities and file a representation. In case representation is made there is no doubt that same would be decided in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible. [AVNEESH JHINGAN] JUDGE 24th September, 2021
