NIDHI GUPTA, J. (ORAL) Challenge in the present petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. is to the order dated 23.01.2017 passed by learned Additional Sessions Judge, Rupnagar in Criminal Revision No. 148 dated 04.01.2017 filed by the respondents/revisionists titled as 'Amandeep Kaur and another vs. Amandeep Singh' whereby the order dated 19.05.2016 passed by learned Sub Divisional Judicial Magistrate, Anandpur Sahib for interim maintenance, has been modified to the extent of Rs.4,000/- p.m. to the revisionist from the date of application and Rs.10,000/- as litigation expenses.
The present petition pertains to the year 2017. Perusal of the order sheets shows that notice of motion was issued in this case on 31.07.2017 subject to deposit of the entire amount due towards respondent No.2 (minor child); whereupon learned counsel for the DIVYANSHI 2024.07.29 17:44 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document
respondents put in appearance on 01.08.2018. The matter was adjourned at request of learned counsel for the petitioner on 01.08.2018 and 21.02.2023. There was no representation on behalf of the petitioner on the last 4 dates i.e. 18.09.2017, 19.02.2018, 21.11.2018 and 22.08.2023. Even today also for the 5th date, none has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Therefore, it can safely be presumed that the petitioner or his counsel is not interested in pursuing the present petition. In view of the above, present petition is dismissed for nonprosecution.
