(Oral) The petitioners through instant petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India are seeking directions to respondents No.1 to 4 to protect their lives and liberty from the hands of respondents No.5 to 11. Status report dated 24.05.2023 by way of affidavit of Satvinder Singh Virk, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Jagraon, District Ludhiana (Rural), is taken on record. Registry is directed to tag the same at appropriate place.

As per status report, DSP, Jagraon has conducted investigation and found no substance in the allegations of the petitioners. The petitioners and co-accused had tried to take forcibly possession of house of the complainant Surinder Singh and accordingly, FIR has been registered against the petitioners and co-accused. The complainant is resident of Canada, thus, there is no danger to lives and liberty of the petitioners from the complainant and his family members.
