On 22.04.2022, the following order was passed by this Court: "The learned counsel representing the petitioner inter alia contends that the Land Acquisition Collector despite repeated requests, has failed to forward the reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894, to the Reference Court.
Notice of motion.
Sh. Nikhil Chopra, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, accepts notice on behalf of the State. List on 24.05.2022, in the urgent list".

Mr. Nikhil Chopra, Additional Advocate General, Punjab, has submitted that the reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, DEEPAK KUMAR BHARDWAJ 2022.05.26 14:08 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document 1894, could not be forwarded to the Court as the petitioner did not specify
Civil Writ Petition No. 8242 of 2022 the correct award number and its date. However, he submits that the aforesaid correct number has been taken note of after inspecting the record and the reference shall be sent to the Reference Court within a period of one month, from today.
