**** ANITA CHAUDHRY, J (ORAL) Through the instant petition, the petitioners are seeking anticipatory bail in case FIR No. 97 dated 18.8.2015, registered under Sections 498-A, 316, 323, 506, 34 IPC, Police Station Sadar Muktsar, District Sri Muktsar Sahib.
Counsel for the petitioners submits that pursuant to the order dated 16.8.2016, passed by this Court, the petitioners had appeared before the trial Court and were released on interim bail on 29.8.2016 but subsequently, Mohinder Singh-petitioner No. 1 has died. State counsel affirms that the death certificate was presented in the Court below.
In view of the above, the petition qua petitioner No. 1Mohinder Singh becomes infructuous and is disposed of accordingly. Looking to the circumstances, but without commenting on the merits of the case, the petition is allowed qua petitioner No. 2 and order Gurpreet Singh Bhatia 2016.12.01 16:28 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court Chandigarh
