This is an appeal that has been filed seeking for enhancement of the amount of compensation as allowed by the Motor Accident Claims Tribunal, Faridabad.

This matter has been taken up on several occasions, however, no one has been putting in an appearance on behalf of the appellant. The matter had been referred to the Lok Adalat and when counsel for the appellant was contacted he had stated that he had been practising in the Supreme Court and was not appearing in the High Court any more. Consequently, the Registry had been directed to issue notice to the appellant, which has been received back unserved with the report 'not known'. Since the matter could not be settled before the Lok Adalat, it was SATYAWAN 2019.10.19 11:33 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

FAO No. 433 of 2001 (O&M) referred back to the High Court and on all subsequent occasions there has been no appearance on behalf of the appellant.
