Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that son-in-law of petitioner No.2 had been involved in a case under NDPS Act along with his brothers pertaining to alleged recovery of 532 Kgs of 'Heroine' in July 2019. It is further submitted that recently the aforesaid son-in-law has been involved in yet another case in FIR No. 135, dated 25.4.2020, under Sections 10, 11, 13, 17, 18, 20 and 21 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (Amendment 2012), Police Station Sadar, Amritsar.

- 2 - CRM-M-14594-2020 (O&M) harassed by the police on account of the involvement of the aforesaid Gagandeep Singh (son-in-law of petitioner No.2) and they apprehend that they would be illegally detained or involved in some case. 3.

Notice of motion.

Mr. H.S.Sullar, DAG, Punjab, to whom a copy of petition has already been supplied accepts notice on behalf of the respondent-State. 5.

Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and while refraining from making any expression as regards the veracity of the averments made in the petition, the same is disposed of with a direction to Commissioner of Police, Amritsar, District Amritsar and Senior Superintendent of Police, Tarn Taran, District Tarn Taran (respondents No. 3 and 4) that in case the petitioners are required to be associated with any inquiry or any information is to be elicited from them then a prior written notice of not less than three days be afforded to them before summoning them. It is however made clear that the aforesaid order shall not to be treated to be any kind of immunity upon the petitioners, in case it is found that they have committed any wrong.
