This is a petition under Section 482 of Cr.P.C. for quashing of order dated 13.3.2023 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Kapurthala in CRA-55 of 2023 titled Sajjan Singh v. State of Punjab and another (arising out of NACT No.712 of 2017, date of institution 21.12.2017) qua the condition of depositing 20% of 18,00,000/- i.e. fine amount while suspending the sentence, imposed by the learned Court concerned. Further, prayer is made to issue directions to the JMIC to release the petitioner in compliance of the above mentioned order, as the bail bonds and surety bonds were already furnished alongwith affidavit. Prayer is also made to stay the operation of the above said order during the pendency of the present petition.

Learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the petition in hand has been rendered infructuous in view of the judgment dated 21.11.2024 passed by the Additional Sessions Judge, Kapurthala. 3.
