Petitioner has filed this petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. for grant of anticipatory bail in case FIR No.103 dated 31.05.2017 under Sections 306 and 34 IPC, registered at Police Station Bawa Basti Khel, District Jalandhar.

I have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and have gone through the record.

From the record, I find that FIR has been got registered by one Deepak Kumar aged about 21 years. As per the FIR, petitioner Kamal gave him abuses on phone. Complainant-deceased Deepak Kumar narrated this version to the councillor of his area. Then Kamal, Sunny Gujjar and Rajat asked the complainant as to why he went to Pardeep Rai, Councillor and they also told that many cases are pending against them and they would Vineet Gulati 2017.08.03 10:20 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh teach him a lesson. CRM No.M-27543 of 2017 -2Being fed up with the threatening, Deepak Kumar consumed poisonous tablets used for keeping in wheat.

The present petitioner is named in the FIR. Active role is attributed to him.

Keeping in view the facts and circumstances of the present case, nature and gravity of the offence, I find that petitioner is required for custodial interrogation and he is not entitled to benefit of anticipatory bail. Therefore, finding no merit in the present petition, the same is dismissed.
