ARVIND SINGH SANGWAN J. (Oral) Prayer in this petition is for issuance of a direction to the official respondents to protect the life and liberty of the petitioners at the hands of respondents No.4 and 5.
Counsel for the petitioners has argued that respondents No.4 and 5 are the son and daughter-in-law of the petitioners and on account of some property dispute qua which the petitioner No.2 has already filed a suit for mandatory injunction. Counsel for the petitioners has further submitted that a complaint is given to the Commissioner of Police Central, Jalandhar, however, the same is not decided so far. Reply by way of affidavit of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, is on record and as per the reply, at one point of time, a compromise was effected between the parties during the enquiry of the complaint dated 11.07.2020 and the complaint was consigned. It
is further stated that both the parties are litigating before the Civil Court with regard to the threat perception or manhandling at the instance of the private respondents. It is specifically stated in para 6 that neither the petitioners have given any MLR nor any evidence has ben produced in this regard and after entering DDR No.43 dated 08.04.2021 at Police Station Rama Mandi, the enquiry was consigned to the Record Room by the concerned SHO and no complaint/FIR is pending against the respondents.
In view of the above, this petition is disposed of having been rendered infructuous.
