(Oral) Prayer in this petition is for grant of regular bail to the petitioner, in a case arising out of FIR No. 51 dated 09.07.2016, registered at Police Station GRP Sirhind, District Fatehgarh Sahib, who has been booked for having committed the offence punishable under Section 354 IPC and Section 12 of POCSO Act.

The allegation against the petitioner is that he was travelling in a train in some coach and molested the prosecutrix. Learned State counsel on instructions stated that the charges have been framed on 03.10.2016 and out of 14 witnesses, none have been examined so far.

The petitioner is in custody since 09.07.2016 Keeping in view the fact that the trial is likely to take some time to conclude and the fact that the incident occurred in the train where number of passengers were travelling, the present petition is allowed.
