The present contempt petition has been filed for deliberate and intentional disobedience of order dated 19.11.2024 passed by the Division Bench of this Court in CWP-21653-2018, whereby, the writ petition was disposed of with a direction to the respondents to decide the claim of the petitioner.

Learned counsel for respondents contends that in compliance of order dated 19.11.2024, affidavit of Mr. Gaurav Yadav, IPS, Director General of Police, Punjab Police Head Quarter, Sector-9, Chandigarh, dated 20.04.2025 along with speaking order dated 24.04.2025, attached as POONAM RANI 2026.04.27 19:54 I attest to the accuracy and integrity of this document

COCP-1113-2026 -2Annexure R-1, has been filed. The same is taken on the record. A copy thereof has been supplied to learned counsel for the petitioner. 4.

A perusal of affidavit dated 20.04.2026 and speaking order dated 24.04.2025 shows that order dated 19.11.2024 passed in CWP-216532018 has been complied with. 5.

In view of the same, the contempt is purged and rule is discharged.
