IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-27602 of 2017 Date of Decision: 31.07.2017 Rajinder Kumar @ Raju ....Petitioner

Versus

State of Punjab and others ....Respondents CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: - Mr. Sandeep Arora, Advocate, for the petitioner. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer in the instant petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. has been made for issuance of directions to respondents No.1 and 2 for getting the investigation conducted through some independent investigating agency in case FIR No.95 dated 16.05.2017 under Sections 61/1/14 of the Excise Act, registered at Police Station Basi Bawa Khel, Jalandhar. Learned counsel for the petitioner contends that the purpose can be achieved if the directions are issued to respondent No.3 to decide the representation (Annexure P-4) sent by the petitioner to respondent No.3 by registered post.

Having heard learned counsel for the petitioner and after perusing the paper-book, however, without commenting on merits of the case, instant petition is disposed of with a direction to respondent No.3 - Deputy Commissioner of Police, Jalandhar, to decide the representation of the petitioner (Annexure P-4) by passing a speaking order after hearing the petitioner within a period of one month from the date of receipt of certified copy of this order.
