SURINDER GUPTA, J.(Oral) This petition is for seeking protection of life and liberty of petitioners, who alleged to have married against the wishes of respondents No. 4 to 8, parents and other relatives of petitioner No.1. Learned counsel for the petitioners has limited his prayer for taking appropriate action in accordance with law on the representation dated 18.01.2017 (Annexure P-4) made by the petitioners. It has been stated that both the petitioners are major. The year of birth of petitioner No.1-Payal is 1995 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-1) and that of petitioner No.2-Parteek is 1993 as per copy of Aadhaar Card (Annexure P-2). They got married on 18.01.2017 Photographs of marriage are Annexure P-3.
In view of the prayer made by the learned counsel for the petitioners, but without expressing any opinion on the validity of marriage of petitioners, petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.2Senior Superintendent of Police, Chandigarh to look into the representation dated 18.01.2017 (Annexure P-4) and take appropriate action in accordance Sachin Mehta 2017.01.
CRM-M-2762-2017 -2with law, on receipt of copy of this order along with representation in his office.
