IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB & HARYANA AT

CHANDIGARH FAO No.543 of 2001 Date of Decision: 27.02.2024 Gur Lal Singh ...Appellant

Versus

Balwinder Singh

...Respondent

CORAM:

HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE MEENAKSHI I. MEHTA Present:- Mr. Mukesh Arora, Advocate from the office of Mr. O.P. Nagpal, Advocate for the appellant.

***** MEENAKSHI I. MEHTA, J. (Oral) Learned counsel appearing from the office of Mr. O.P. Nagpal, Advocate, informs the Court that the above-named counsel, who had filed the instant appeal and had been representing the appellant earlier, has, unfortunately, passed away.

As reported by the Registry, notice issued to the appellant has also been received back with the report regarding his death. Learned counsel from the office of the deceased counsel for the appellant submits that none has ever approached their office for the purpose of filing the application for being impleaded as the Legal Representative of the appellant.

A perusal of the file also reveals that none has moved any application till date, for the afore-mentioned purpose. In these circumstances, this Court is left with no other option but to dismiss the appeal in hand for want of prosecution. Resultantly, the same stands dismissed accordingly.
