Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioners are father-in-law and mother-in-law of respondent No.2, who has strained relations with her husband. She along with her relatives is posing threat to their lives and liberty.

Without expressing any opinion on submissions of learned counsel for the petitioner, this petition is disposed of with direction to respondent No.1-Senior Superintendent of Police, Patiala to look into the representation Annexure P-3 made by petitioners and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

However, it is made clear that the above order will not be interpreted as providing protection to the petitioners from any legal action taken in any civil, criminal or any other proceedings initiated/pending against him in accordance with law.
