The petitioners, who claimed to be in a 'live-in' relationship, have approached this Court seeking issuance of directions to protect their lives and liberty as they apprehend threat to the same at the hands of private respondents.

Status report by way of affidavit of Shri Lalit Kumar, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Kalayat has been filed by learned State counsel, which is taken on record.

It has been deposed in the aforesaid status report that FIR lodged by mother of petitioner No.1, when she had gone missing from her house, has been cancelled.
