Rajni @ Reena v. State Of Punjab
IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA
AT CHANDIGARH CRM-M-28732 of 2018 Date of Decision: 12.07.2018 Rajni @ Reena ....Petitioner
Versus
State of Punjab ....Respondent CORAM: HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE RAMENDRA JAIN Present: - Mr. Rishu Mahajan, Advocate, for the petitioner. RAMENDRA JAIN, J. (ORAL) Prayer through instant petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of anticipatory bail to petitioner Rajni @ Reena in case FIR No.49 dated 06.05.2018 registered under Section 21/23/29/61/85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Police Station Mamdot, Ferozepur.
According to the prosecution, 5 kgs 315 grams of heroin and 45 grams of opium were recovered from the fields of the petitioner. She is also facing trial in another NDPS case registered in the year 2016. Heard.
Considering overall circumstances and the fact that petitioner was also booked in the year 2016 for the similar offence, she does not deserve the concession of anticipatory bail. Her custodial interrogation is very much necessary.
Dismissed.
