(ORAL) Prayer through instant petition under Section 438 Cr.P.C. has been made for grant of anticipatory bail to petitioner Kuldeep Singh in case FIR No.36 dated 28.04.2018 registered under Sections 18/27-A/60/61/85 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act at Police Station CityII, Mansa, District Mansa. According to the prosecution, Gurdeep Singh brother of the petitioner was apprehended and 1 kg of opium was recovered from him. After his arrest, police got recorded in the proceedings that petitioner was also involved in the smuggling of narcotics. Petitioner is also facing trial in similar offence under the NDPS Act.
Heard.
In view of above, petitioner does not deserve the concession of anticipatory bail. His custodial interrogation is very much necessary. Dismissed.
