IN THE HIGH COURT OF PUNJAB AND HARYANA

AT CHANDIGARH CR-1527-2022 (O&M) Date of decision : 27.04.2022 Manmeet Singh ... Petitioner(s)

Versus

Kabir Stationers and Another ... Respondent(s) CORAM : HON'BLE MRS. JUSTICE ALKA SARIN Present :

Mr. Suvir Sidhu, Advocate for the petitioner. ALKA SARIN, J. (ORAL) Learned counsel for the petitioner states that a limited prayer has been made in the present petition for expeditious disposal of the Rent Petition being RP-366-2015 which is pending since 2015. Learned counsel for the petitioner would contend that the petitioner has been dragged numerous times before this Court and the Supreme Court by the tenantrespondents only to delay the proceedings. A perusal of the paper book reveals that the matter has been pending since long before the Rent Controller. Keeping in view the limited prayer made in the present petition, I deem it appropriate to dispose it off with a direction to the Rent Controller to decide the Rent Petition (RP-3662015), in accordance with law, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six months from the date of passing of this order. Disposed off. Pending applications, if any, also stand disposed off.
