The instant petition has been preferred by Guddi Mahant and Meena @ Abdul Gani Mahant under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeking issuance of a direction to the official respondents, especially, respondent No.2 to protect their lives and liberty at the hands of respondent Nos.4 and 5.

Notice of motion of the petition was issued to respondent No.2 - Senior Superintendent of Police, Moga seeking his report on the AVIN KUMAR 2016.02.08 10:29 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document High Court of Punjab & Haryana at Chandigarh

In response to the notice, replies by way of affidavit of Gurmail Singh, PPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Moga, on behalf of respondent Nos.1, 2 and 3-A; and affidavit of Harinder Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police (City), Moga, on behalf of respondent No.3, have been filed vide which all the allegations levelled by the petitioners against the respondents have been refuted. It has specifically been averred by the DSP (City), Moga, that no such application(s)/representation(s) has ever been received in his office till date.

In view of the submission made by the official respondents in replies to the petition, referred to above, the petition has rendered infructuous and the same is dismissed as such.
