Prayer in this petition is for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner in FIR No.34 dated 31.03.2016 under Sections 498A/406 IPC registered at Police Station Women Cell, Jalandhar. It is submitted that during the pendency of this petition the matter has been amicably resolved between the parties. The terms and conditions of the settlement have been reduced into writing today itself. Affidavits dated 09.05.2017 of the petitioner as well as respondent No.2 alongwith Omkar Singh 2017.05.11 12:00 I attest to the accuracy and authenticity of this document Chandigarh

CRM No.M-28744 of 2016 [2] Compromise dated 09.05.2017, filed in Court today, is taken on record subject to just exceptions. The petitioner and respondent No.2 have decided to part ways. The parties to the agreement shall abide by the terms and conditions of this settlement in letter and spirit.

Learned counsel for the State, on instructions from ASI Balbir Chand, Police Station Women Cell, Jalandhar, submits that the petitioner has joined investigation.

There are no allegations on behalf of the State that the petitioner is likely to abscond or that he is likely to dissuade the witnesses from deposing true facts in the Court, if released on bail. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as above but without commenting upon or expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this petition is allowed. Consequently, order dated 19.08.2016 is made absolute. ( LISA GILL ) May 9 , 2017.
